How these figures are calculated
- Estimated deal value
- Derived from the live proposal page, so it can never drift from what the guest sees. Where properties carry nightly rates, we take the average across every priced property — the "average possible trip value" before the guest has chosen. A full-buyout rate (e.g. Ol Jogi) is a whole-property nightly and does not scale with room count; a per-room rate does. Where a proposal instead prices whole itineraries (e.g. Bhutan's Amankora journeys), we take the middle tier.
- Sharpening
- Once a guest shortlists properties, only their shortlist is averaged — so the estimate gets more accurate as they engage, rather than staying a fixed guess.
- Uplift (+20%)
- Underlying figures are accommodation-based. A flat +20% is applied for flights, private guiding, transfers and margin. This is a blanket assumption, not a quote — it should be checked against a few closed bookings and tuned.
- Weighted forecast
- Estimated value × the probability of the deal closing at its current stage: Prospective 5%Draft 10%Sent 20%Viewed 35%Proceeding 60%Deposit paid 90%Booked 100% Stages advance automatically from guest activity on my.satopiatravel.com — a paid deposit moves a deal to 90% on its own. Declined deals are excluded from all totals.
- Currency
- Proposals are priced in USD, EUR, GBP or AUD. Summary totals are converted to EUR at live ECB rates, refreshed daily. If rates can't be reached, each currency is shown separately rather than converted at a guessed rate.
- Manually logged deals
- Deals added via Log a deal carry a hand-entered value ("no proposal built yet"). When the real proposal is deployed it updates the same record by VO number and replaces the manual figure with a calculated one.
These are indicative pipeline estimates for forecasting — not quotes, and not confirmed revenue. A proposal with no rate data shows no value rather than a guess.
